About me

I’m an AI Engineer with an MSc in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, where I graduated with an Excellent final grade. I also hold a BSc in Information Technology Engineering from Damascus University. Before moving deeper into AI, I spent 4 years building backend systems, APIs, and production software, which still strongly shapes the way I approach AI applications today.

My main focus is Generative AI and LLM-based applications, particularly RAG, agentic systems, retrieval, and the engineering required to bring these systems into real products. I enjoy developing AI systems supported by clean software architecture, data handling, APIs, and reliability.

I’m also learning German every day and steadily working toward becoming more confident using it in both everyday and professional settings.

Outside of work, I enjoy building side projects, playing chess, hiking, and exploring new places. I’ve also completed a half marathon and I’m now targeting the full marathon. 🏃

Projects

AI-Powered Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Parses CVs into structured profiles and matches candidates to job requirements using RAG, embeddings, and vector search. Combines semantic similarity with configurable weighted scoring and knockout rules to produce explainable candidate recommendations. Built with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and ChromaDB, with layered services and repositories, configurable LLM and embedding providers, and APIs for application and HR workflows.

Water Polo Event Spotting with Deep Learning

Master’s Thesis

Built a deep learning pipeline for event spotting in full-match water polo broadcasts, introducing a new dataset and baseline evaluation. Developed a semi-automatic annotation workflow that aligns official match reports with video timestamps using OCR-based game-clock recognition. Evaluated a CALF-based model using SoccerNet-style metrics, achieving 0.49 Average mAP across Goal and Missed Shot events.

Transformer from Scratch

Implemented a Transformer architecture from scratch in TensorFlow, including multi-head attention, positional encoding, and sequence modeling components. Built for learning purposes to develop an in-depth understanding of how Transformers work, how attention captures relationships between tokens, and how positional encoding represents sequence order.

Bunian – Real Estate Platform

Developed at OSOUS

Led the migration of a real estate platform’s backend from Laravel to .NET Core. Preserved original API contracts to avoid frontend refactoring. Designed RESTful APIs and authentication, and implemented clean architecture for maintainability and performance optimization (3–4s → 300ms).

Peregrine & SellZoon Integration

Developed at OSOUS

Built a warehouse management system (WMS) using ASP.NET 7 for Peregrine and integrated it with the SellZoon e-commerce platform. Used MassTransit and RabbitMQ to enable real-time inventory, order, and customer sync with robust message queuing and multi-tenant support.

YOLO – Clinic Management SaaS

Developed a multi-tenant SaaS application in ASP.NET Core and EF Core to support clinics with appointment booking, product ordering (ERP/WMS), and HR features. Added a CRM module for automating segmented patient outreach and enhancing operational efficiency.
